PINKING UP is the exhibition that Ar/Ge Kunst dedicates to Atelier dell’Errore and their most recent production, the so-called pink period, in which desire becomes the central driving force of the research. Desire is understood here not as lack, but as a generative force, capable of pushing form beyond itself.
This desire takes on an explicitly transindividual form, capable of abolishing boundaries between human and animal, between self and other. PINKING UP thus presents itself as a collective organism in continuous becoming: not a finished narrative, but an open phase of a shared process, in which error becomes possibility and desire takes on form.

Vela d'Artista - Second edition

We are pleased to announce that on 17 April 2024, in conjunction with the opening of the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigner Everywhere, it will inaugurate AdE_Vela_Rapido, a site-specific work designed and created for the second edition of the Vela d'Artista project organized by Edipo Re.

The Vela d'Artista project involves the design and creation of a sail by contemporary artists for Edipo Re, a vessel dear to Pier Paolo Pasolini.
For the second edition of the project, AdE proposes AdE_Vela_Rapido, a randa sail 10 meters high and 5 meters wide on which the drawing of a multi-faceted animal is created.

The unique feature of AdE's sail for Edipo Re is the collective's physical graphic work that, thanks to the complex technical collaboration with a leading sailmaker, becomes embedded within the sail itself. AdE's drawing becomes the sail's interior structure, its arhitectural "soul".

During the preview days of the Biennale Arte (17-21 April), the Edipo Re boat will welcome the public to visit the AdE_Vela_Rapido work in the San Marco basin, from 12 to 5pm.
Thereafter, the vessel will become a traveling pavilion in the heart of the Venice Lagoon throughout the spring and summer of 2024. Subsequently, between the end of August and the beginning of September, Edipo Re will dock on the Lido for the Venice Film Festival.

The sail was designed and produced thanks to the collaboration with Velman Sails and with the generous support of Collezione Maramotti.

Idolo - LabOratorio degli Angeli, Bologna

Solo exhibition curated by Leonardo Regano

From January 29 to February 10, 2024, on the occasion of the 50th edition of Arte Fiera and ART CITY Bologna 2024, Atelier dell'Errore was hosted in the spaces of LabOratorio degli Angeli - the former oratory of a deconsecrated church - with Idolo, a site-specific exhibition curated by Leonardo Regano. The new body of work presented on this occasion spanned drawing, sculpture, photography, video and performance.
One of the sculptures on display, Idolino rosso (2019), was also the stage for the IDOL performance, played by Nicole Domenichini (Pythia-Cassandra) and Matteo Morescalchi (Tiresia) on texts by Ezra Pound and Allen Ginsberg.

Opening of the solo exhibition curated by Eva Brioschi, January 18, 2024

On January 18, 2024, at the italian headquarters of the Richard Saltoun Gallery, AdE inaugurated its first exhibition in Rome: Die Werkstatt [The Workshop], curated by Eva Brioschi.
The exhibition presented a corpus of drawings and studies connected to Die Goldkammer, the monumental frieze cycle of gold leaf drawings created on plaster panels, located inside Palazzo Nunez Torlonia, a few steps from the gallery.
The exhibition was extended until March 9, 2024.

Site specific installation for the Max Mara Flag ship Store in London

The two major works presented at Max Mara's flagship store in London during Mayfair Art Weekend introduce a new course of experimentation by the Atelier, focusing on a specific branch of their visionary zoology: Entomologia Aurea.
New species of insects, inexplicably pregnant and elegantly gilded, are suspended in a large white space that makes them almost iconic.
A wish, a maternal thought dedicated to women, to all women in the world, our hope for the future.

The Resurrection of the Flesh (1499-1502) by Luca Signorelli and one of AdE's most recent works, More Penetrating than a Crystal of Radium (light box, 450x150 cm, 2017-18).

Atelier dell'Errore BIG for Fotografia Europea 2018

Here we are!
As guests of Fotografia Europea 2018, we will once again be opening AdE BIG, our studio dedicated to adults at the Collezione Maramotti, to the public this year.
On display will be the latest work, Più penetrante di un cristallo di radio (More penetrating than a crystal of radium), inspired by Marie Curie, and Billboards, an installation also linked to the theme of Fotografia Europea: Revolutions. Rebellions, changes, utopias.

At 11 a.m. on Sunday 22 April, the young people from the Atelier will welcome the public with a performance.

In addition to the permanent exhibition of the Collezione Maramotti, visitors will also be able to see the temporary exhibitions il giardino by Lutz & Guggisberg and Painting Piece-By-Piece by Sally Ross.

Qui entriamo in silenzio, tutto parla già tanto, e tutto quel che è detto è scritto.
Porte, maniglie, polvere, muri, tutto quello che è normale è diverso, qui.
Vien da parlare sottovoce, come in chiesa.
Rispetto? Forse.
Paura? Certo.
Disagio? Sempre.
Abbassare i toni, rispettare il silenzio.
Nella Sezione Femminile c’è una scala, le lunette sono mani giunte in preghiera, lo scasso viene da quella forza.
Si chiama Ex-stasis.
Ce lo insegna un piccolo insetto, inatteso maestro.
Nella Sezione Maschile c’è il suo contrappunto, più che un insetto una escrescenza, un punto fermo, un punto nero.
È un esercizio di punteggiatura sul testo del muro, che è il muro.
Un paradosso? Certo, anche.
Come potrebbe del resto una formica morire d’accidia?

Open Studio

Atelier dell'Errore BIG at the Collezione Maramotti in Reggio Emilia

On Sunday 7 May, to mark the opening of Fotografia Europea 2017, we will be opening Atelier dell’Errore BIG, our studio dedicated to adults and hosted by the Collezione Maramotti, to the public for the first time.

For the occasion, we have set up an exhibition in our studio consisting of drawings, photographic projections and a video installation.

In addition to the permanent exhibition of the Collezione Maramotti, visitors will also be able to see Elisabetta Benassi's new project, It starts by firing, and Kristof Kintera's solo exhibition, Post-naturalia.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Short liturgy for Santa Chiara

Improvisations with the Atelier dell'Errore, Nicole Janigro and Luca Santiago Mora

On Sunday, 9 April, we will be in Ravenna, at the Teatro Rasi, with about twenty young people from the Atelier dell'Errore.
We have been invited to the first Doppiozero party: Gli Irregolari, as part of the Enter festival organised by the Teatro delle Albe in Ravenna.
We will try to tell our story with the help of Nicole Janigro and the young people from the Atelier.

The other guests at the Doppiozero party are Simona Vinci, Margherita Manzelli, Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Giovanna Durì, Paolo Gioli and Umberto Fiori.

We are very proud of this invitation.

Without Gianni Celati, I don't think Atelier dell'Errore would exist.
He doesn't know this, but that's a private matter.
It was certainly a great honour to have him visit Atelier dell'Errore BIG.
Gianni and Gil, in Reggio for a small private celebration of his 80th birthday, were accompanied to the atelier by Ermanno Cavazzoni, Andrea Cortellessa, Daniele Benati, Jean Talon, and Nunzia Palmieri.

It was a memorable day for all of us.

Not even the intense heat of this August has stopped our visitors...
Dedicated to latecomers, those who love bringing their friends, and those who already feel a bit of nostalgia for the exhibition: the Humans as Food exhibition has been extended until 30 September 2015.
